William Hoffman's AS IS to Play Breakthrough Theatre of Winter Park
The Breakthrough Theatre of Winter Park presents the William Hoffman play, "As Is", from September 18-28, 2015.
Winner of the Obie and Drama Desk Awards, this powerful, deeply affecting play was originally presented Off-Broadway by the Circle Repertory Company, and then transferred to Broadway where it was nominated for a Tony Award. Centering on the relationship between an HIV-positive man and his ex-lover who returns to his side in his time of need, As Is portrays the confusion and fear that gripped the nation as the disease first spread. As Is is a bold, touching play that pays reverence to the resilience of those it affected with humor and compassion.
