WP Playhouse to Present Jerry Herman Revue SHOWTUNE!, 3/18-4/23

Jerry Herman's hit Broadway shows will sing and dance their way onto The Winter Park Playhouse Mainstage on March 18-19 and March 31-April 23. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., Thursday and Saturday matinees at 2:00 p.m. and select Wednesday, Friday and Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m. The preview performance is Thursday, March 17 at 7:30p.m.

Showtune! is an internationally popular Off-Broadway musical revue of the well-loved music and lyrics of the incomparable Jerry Herman. Mr. Herman is the composer and lyricist for some of Broadway's greatest shows and recipient of the 2009 Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the theater. Showtune! features an assortment of selections from hit Broadway musicals including Hello Dolly!, Mame, La Cage aux Folles, Mack and Mabel, and more!

The stellar professional cast includes Priscilla Bagley, Michael Colavolpe, Ben Ptashinski, Kayla Kelsey Morales, Joshua Kolb and Kelly Morris Rowan. Playhouse Associate Director Michael Edwards will direct, Playhouse Artistic Director Roy Alan will choreograph and Christopher Leavy will music direct the production. The Playhouse trio will accompany with Mr. Leavy on piano, Ned Wilkinson on multiple instruments and Sam Forrest on percussion.

Ticket prices are $40 evenings, $36 Senior evenings, $30 matinees, $20 preview, $15 student and industry professionals. Student rush "$10@10" offers $10 tickets (for students 25 years and younger) 10 minutes prior to a performance when seats are available.
