Noel Marie Matson will perform her newest cabaret Songs My Mother Sang in the popular Winter Park Playhouse Spotlight Cabaret Series April 8 and 9, 2015. Playhouse Musical Director, Christopher Leavy will accompany on piano.

Ms. Matson graduated from the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA). Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Noel Marie has been performing since the age of 7. Her 20 year career as a professional actress and singer has allowed her to work with some of the best contemporary musical theatre composers including Stephen Schwartz and Jason Robert Brown. Playhouse patrons will remember her from the recent musical revue, Isn't It Romantic? A Tribute To Rodgers and Hart, and last year's musical comedy Breakin' Up Is Hard To Do.

In her solo cabaret debut, Noel Marie will touch your heart and stir your soul as she delivers a comedic, song-filled evening featuring musical selections from Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler and Carol Burnett. Ms. Matson uses these three Broadway cornerstones and their popular songs to share her personal journey into show business and her mother's strength, wisdom, and determination that inspired her to be the performer she is today.

General admission tickets are $18 plus a one drink minimum. Once sold out, a limited number of "standing room only" tickets are available for $10. Doors open at 6:30 for a 7:30 show.

Don't miss the chance to experience this accomplished performer at her best! Advance reservations are strongly recommended as cabaret seating is limited to 54 and performances sell out quickly. Tickets are available online winterparkplayhouse.org and at the box office (407) 645-0145.
