SHOUT! to Open 6/20 at Winter Park Playhouse

By:

The Winter Park Playhouse brings back SHOUT! The Mod Musical, June 20-29 and July 10-19, 2014, with performances Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00 pm and select Thursday matinees at 2:00 pm. A special "Third Thursday" performance is July 10 at 7:30 pm. The preview performance is Thursday June 19, at 7:30 pm.

SHOUT! is a hit Off-Broadway musical that tells the story of five women coming of age in 1960's London and features an irresistible collection of well-loved songs by Petula Clark, Dusty Springfield, LuLu and more including "Downtown," "Don't Sleep In The Subway," "Son of a Preacher Man," and "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me."

Directed and choreographed by Roy Alan and music directed by Christopher Leavy, this production features four of the Playhouse's original powerhouse cast of professionals: Heather Alexander, Natalie Cordone, Sarah-Lee Dobbs, and Kate Zaloumes with newcomer Jill Vanderoef making her Winter Park Playhouse debut. The Playhouse trio will accompany the cast with Christopher Leavy on keyboard, Ned Wilkinson on second keyboard and Sam Forrest on percussion.

"After the incredible patron response we received the first time we produced the show, it's exciting to bring this show back to entertain audiences a second time. The outstanding cast singing the popular score of 60's music you know and love makes for the perfect night of theatre!" states Roy Alan, Artistic Director of The Winter Park Playhouse.

Ticket prices are specially priced for summer: $30 evenings; $25 matinees; $25 Third Thursday evening; $20 industry professionals and students 25 years and under and $18 preview performance. Student rush "$10@10" offers $10 tickets for students 25 years and under, 10 minutes prior to a performance when seats are available.

For tickets and more information call the Playhouse box office 407-645-0145 or visit www.winterparkplayhouse.org.
