Photo Flash: First Look at POLKADOTS: THE COOL KIDS MUSICAL at Orlando REP

Orlando Repertory Theatre (Orlando REP) is presenting Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical, running now through November 19, 2017. This production is presented by Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical is inspired by Civil Rights pioneers Ruby Bridges and The Little Rock Nine. Polkadots follows Lily Polkadot who just moved to the "Squares Only" small town of Rockaway. As the first Polkadot to attend the all-Square school, Lily faces an almost impossible task of gaining acceptance from her peers. From daily bullying to segregated drinking fountains, Lily's quest seems hopeless until she meets a shy Square boy whose curiosity blooms into an unexpected friendship. This brand new musical features a book by Melvin Tunstall III, lyrics by Douglas Lyons, and music by Greg Borowsky and Douglas Lyons.

The cast features Sarah Huff as Lily Polkadot, with Whitney Abell-Couch, Sarah Biggs, Erik Gatlin, and Michell LoRicco (at select performances). Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical is directed Tara Kromer, with music direction by Robby Stamper, choreography by Myles Thoroughgood, scenic design by VAndy Wood, costume design by Dan Jones, lighting design by Michael Powers, sound design by Anthony Narciso, props design by Tara Kromer, and stage management by Cat Koski.
