Mad Cow Theatre Presents, Wesley Slade in THE WHO'S TOMMY - October 3-November 2. Come on the Amazing Journey for this mind-expanding tale of the world's first Pinball Wizard-turned-Messiah. The Who's Tommy started out in 1969 as a double-album and was an instant hit with critics and fans. The rock opera then went on to spawn a film in 1975 and the Tony Award-winning Broadway version in 1992. The original album has sold over 20 million copies world-wide and was inducted to the Grammy Hall of fame in 1998.

The Who's Tommy will run in The Harriett Theatre Thursdays - Sundays; October 3, 2014 - November 2, 2014. Curtain time is 7:30pm for all evening performances and 2:30pm for all matinees. Tickets start at just $28.25.

Mad Cow welcomes director Donald Rupe to the herd in his first directing assignment with Mad Cow. Earlier this year Donald was recognized by Mad Cow as the 2014 Community Champion of the Arts for his work as an educator, director, and advocate for supporting the arts in Central Florida. Locally he has directed here for over a decade; recent productions include Les Miserables at the Athens Theatre and Rent at the Osceola Center for the Arts. When not directing at night, Donald is a Theatre Instructor at Gateway High School in Kissimmee, where his students are consistently recognized for their work. Donald also works with Central Florida Community Arts and is an Adjunct Professor at Valencia College. Mr. Rupe has degrees in Theatre from New York University (Master's) and from Florida State University (Bachelor's).

Leading a cast of 20 will be Wesley Slade in the title role of Tommy. Wesley was last seen at Mad Cow, when he made his central Florida debut, in Sunday in the Park with George (Franz/Dennis). Since then, he's gone on to work with many companies, including, The Garden Theatre: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Freddy Benson); Orlando Repertory Theatre: Junior Claus, Cat in the Hat, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer; Theatre Winter Haven: Next to Normal (Henry); Beth Marshall Presents: Alice Lost in Wonderland (World Premiere, Mad Hatter); The IceHouse Theatre: All Shook Up (Dennis); Bay Street Players: Avenue Q (Nicky); Orlando Fringe, and more. He can regularly be seen in Poseidon's Fury at Universal Studios, and Sleuths Mystery Dinner Theatre in Orlando.
