Joan Vaughan Art Gallery Exhibit Comes to King Center
The photography collection created by Melbourne Beach artist Joan Vaughan entitled, From Sea to Shining Sea, will be on display from August 27 - September 23 in the Maxwell C. King Center's Harris Corporation Art Gallery.
The exhibit is comprised of 30 pieces of photographic work framed and on canvas, showcasing the beauty of scenes from Maine to the Olympic Peninsula and captures the essence of Joan's long time passion for nature, oceanography, rainforests and natural beauty. Ticketed guests attending King Center main stage performances may view the exhibit and have an opportunity to meet Ms. Vaughan.
Joan Vaughan has a long history of capturing nature through her camera lenses that began at the early age of 13 years with her daddy's Kodak Brownie camera. Joan began working in photography studios photographing babies, children, family and weddings after attending college. After moving to Melbourne Beach, she has enjoyed photographing Kennedy Space Center and NASA events, the Daytona 500 races and the Eckerd Fundraisers in Brevard County.
In all her pursuits, Joan is committed to sharing her passion for photographing wildlife and the beauty of nature. From her Native American and Lithuanian ancestry, she enjoys the outdoors and is always anxious to share her gift of photography with others. Please stop by and say hello to Joan when you are at the King Center.
All of the pieces featured in the exhibit is available for purchase.
