By:

Everything's coming up roses this Friday at Surfside! GYPSY runs January 23 - February 8, 2015. Performances play Fridays/Saturdays 8:00pm, Sundays 2:00pm. Tickets: $22 Adults, $20 Seniors / Active Military, $17 Students. Purchase Online or call (321) 783-3127.

GYPSY, by Arthur Laurents, Jule Styne, and Stephen Sondheim, will be presented by special arrangement with Tams-Witmark. Directed by Bryan Bergeron, GYPSY will feature Musical Direction by John Kurowski and Choreography by Arlene Sutherland.

Gypsy is the ultimate story about an aggressive stage mother. Join Rose and her daughters June and Louise in their trip across the United States during the 1920?s, when vaudeville is dying, burlesque is growing, and Rose demands nothing less than superstardom from her daughters even as her desperation and ruthlessness drives this family further apart. This is a gripping story of one of the most frightening aspects of show business. Gypsy has been described by New York Times theatre critics Clive Barnes, Ben Brantley and Frank Rich as one of the greatest American musicals. Jule Styne's music and Stephen Sondheim's lyrics include Let Me Entertain You, Some People, You'll Never Get Away from Me, If Momma Was Married, All I Need Is the Girl, Everything's Coming Up Roses, You Gotta Get A Gimmick and Together Wherever We Go.

Presented by special arrangement with Tams-Witmark. Starring Dorothy Ann Wright as Mama Rose, Terrence Girard as Herbie, Tiffany and Michelle Dion as June and Louise, and many more! For the complete cast list, visit www.surfsideplayers.com.
