The Brevard Symphony Orchestra and the King Center for the Performing Arts announce an open call for their 6th annual Cultural Arts Showcase to be held in Melbourne on September 23, 2018, from noon to 5:00pm. The Cultural Arts Showcase is a one-day celebration of the performing and cultural arts in Brevard County. Arts organizations, cultural groups, and artists from the area are invited to participate in this dynamic, family-friendly festival.

From arts displays to LIVE performances by local arts groups, the Cultural Arts Showcase demonstrates the rich cultural fabric the Space Coast offers. Highlighting the event will be the Brevard Symphony's annual family concert presented by Harry and Wendy Brandon. The festival and family concert are free to attend - no tickets are required.

Arts organizations and cultural groups who hold a 501(c)(3) status are eligible for free table and/or booth space at the event. Non-profit arts organizations and cultural groups can also apply for a free 30-minute performance time in the Studio Theatre during the festival. For-profit, or non-designated, arts and cultural group tables are available subject to a $100 registration fee for tables, $150 for premium tables and $50 performance fee.

Organizations, artists and business partners are asked to complete their registration form online at www.CulturalArtsShowcase.com and submit to the BSO Administrative Office by September 1, 2018.

Sponsorships are also available and include a variety of marketing opportunities including radio, digital and print promotion. Local businesses who would like to sponsor the event are asked to call the BSO office at (321) 242-2024 for additional information.

The Cultural Arts Showcase, now in its 6th year, is presented in partnership by the Brevard Symphony Orchestra and the King Center for the Performing Arts. Created as an evolution of the BSO's FREE annual family concert held each year for over 30 years, CAS is the largest celebration of the performing and cultural arts along the Space Coast. The festival features a day of cultural displays; arts demonstrations; family activities including an instrument petting zoo; and LIVE performances. The Cultural Arts Showcase is free to attend.
