BOOM Comes to Theater On The Edge
TOTE alum Adam Minossora and Elaitheia Quinn will star alongside theater ensemble member Megan Raitano in Peter Sinn Nachtieb's 2007 dramatic comedy BOOM. Directed by Marco DiGeorge, BOOM will run from November 2 through December 9, 2018 at the emerging Theater On The Edge.
BOOM was originally developed at Brown/Trinity Playwrights Repertory in the summer of 2007, directed by Kenneth Prestininzi.
"Sex to Change the Course of the World" - a grad student's (Adam Minossora) online personal ad lures a mysterious journalism student (Megan Raitano) to his subterranean research lab under the pretense of an evening of "no strings attached" sex.
But when an alleged major global catastrophic event threatens to strike the planet, their date takes on evolutionary significance and the fate of humanity could hang in the balance. An epic and intimate dramatic comedy that explores the influences of fate versus randomness in the course of one's life, and life as we know it.
And who is the mysterious onlooker (Elaitheia Quinn) observing it all?
Theater On The Edge is known for its hyper-realistic set design and in-depth performances, and received much acclaim during its first two seasons for its previous productions of American Buffalo, Tape, Superior Donuts, Orphans, Proof, and most recently, Gidion's Knot.
Elaitheia Quinn says, "While working with Theater On The Edge, I have learned that when you find a home your heart is both at ease yet alive and beating with exhilarated joy. TOTE is a magical gem I found home in, it's a growing beacon that cultivates art through creativity, love & true collaboration."
Director Marco DiGeorge says, "It's an absolute joy working with such a dedicated cast and crew, and we are excited to share this quirky and impactful story that has such a global quality."
