Andrea Canny to Open The Abbey's Monday Night Cabaret Series, 10/5
Canny has been in the entertainment business for more than 30 years. She opened the Beauty and the Beast, Live On Stage show in the role of Belle at Disney's MGM Studios in 1991 and has performed with such musical theatre and television greats as Jerry Orbach, Lea Salonga, Davis Gaines, Robby Benson, Betty White, and Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Her Orlando credits include such Orlando Philharmonic productions as Guys and Dolls (Miss Adelaide), Carousel (Nettie Fowler), and How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying (Miss Jones). Other local credits include Lizzie Borden in Lizzie Borden, Belle/Little Mermaid/Snow White in DISENCHANTED! and EBJ in Spank! The Fifty Shades Parody. Starting October 5, Canny will play a recurring role on Nickelodeon's new show, WITS Academy.
Tickets to Andrea Canny's cabaret are on sale now and can be purchased at www.TicketWeb.com. General admission tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. A Monday Night Cabaret Series Super Pass can be purchased for $60 and includes all six shows.
