50 SHADES: THE MUSICAL Comes to the Van Wezel, 4/23

By: Apr. 08, 2013

! Appearing at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, April 23, 2013, this hilarious portrayal of a women's book club which decides to take on the risqué book series, is described as a laugh out loud romp through the group's various interpretations of the book's erotic love story. The show comes complete with witty songs, fun dance sequences, and a satirical cast featuring a more "realistic" embodiment of Christian and Anastasia. A perfect "ladies night out," or even "date night," the show does a wonderful job of making light of an uncomfortable topic, and leaves the viewer aching from nonstop belly-laughter.

The signature show for Baby Wants Candy is the 60-minute improvised musical, and the ensemble takes these comedic skills to craft this sidesplitting scripted musical. Like the book series, 50 SHADES! THE MUSICAL is surely not for those under the age of 18, but does not cross boundaries that would make general audiences squirm.

Tickets are priced from $10-$40. For more information, call the Box Office at 941-953-3368, or toll free
