The Bluzmen Replaces The Official Blues Brothers Revue At Lied

By:

The Lied Center for Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has announced that the "The Bluzmen," starring Eric Martin and Carmen Romano, will replace "The Official Blues Brothers Revue" as its 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4 show.

"The Bluzmen" is a Blues Brothers tribute show, similar in quality and content to the previously announced "Revue." One difference is that the Otis Day will not perform with The Bluzmen.

Martin and Romano have been performing together as "The Blues Brothers" for 18 years in more than 9,000 shows worldwide. Their act has been seen across the United States, entertaining New York City, Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Reno and Miami, and internationally in Russia and Japan. Their numerous TV appearances include the "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "The Today Show" and "CBS This Morning." More information can be found at www.bluzmen.com.

Tickets for "The Official Blues Brothers Revue" will be honored for the "The Bluzmen" show. Ticketholders may also exchange their tickets for another Lied season performance at no charge, request a refund, or donate their tickets back to the Lied Center as a tax-deductible contribution. Any requested changes must be made by Jan. 28 by contacting the Lied Center Ticket Office at (402) 472-4747.

Tickets are available online at www.liedcenter.org, by telephone at (402) 472-4747 or in person at the Lied Center, 301 N. 12th St. Tickets for "The Bluzmen" start at $24 for adults and $12 for students. Discounts are available for groups of 20 people or more by calling Cheri Beery at (402) 472-4725.

The Lied Center for Performing Arts is a state-of-the-art performing arts facility. Opened in 1990, it is Nebraska's "Home for the Arts." The facility offers major regional, national and international events designed to attract, entertain and inspire a statewide audience. The Lied Center and its programs are made possible through the generous 2010-11 season support of Christina Hixson and the Lied Foundation Trust, Friends of Lied, Ameritas and Union Bank.
