SPANK! HARDER THE MUSICAL Set for Orpheum Theater, 6/6-7

By:

Omaha Performing Arts presents SPANK! HARDER THE MUSICAL at the Orpheum Theater on June 6 and 7, 2014. Tickets go on sale Monday, Feb. 17, at 10 a.m. Tickets start at $35 and will be available at TicketOmaha.com, 402.345.0606 or at the Ticket Omaha Office inside the Holland Center, 1200 Douglas St. Ticketholders are advised to arrive early for special show-themed cocktails, and stay afterward for photos with the cast.

SPANK! HARDER is the naughty sequel to the satirical show, SPANK! THE FIFTY SHADES PARODY, which was at the Orpheum Theater in the summer of 2013. SPANK! THE FIFTY SHADES PARODY was the No. 1 theatrical parody in the world with more than $10 million in ticket sales. Chicago Public Radio described the original as "a hilarious satire of practically every trope in popular culture."

SPANK! HARDER picks up where SPANK! THE FIFTY SHADES PARODY left off, with all the hilarious characters from the original returning, including sassy "author," E.B. Janet, and the handsome man in the gray tie, Hugh Hanson. This time, Hugh has competition as love interest Tasha finds herself wanting more than her sexy billionaire. She experiments with a new shade of grey and finds herself dating two men. Which one will she choose - Hugh or the sweet and seductive Carter Carnegie?

Like the first SPANK!, SPANK! HARDER parodies not only "Fifty Shades of Grey"; it takes aim at a variety of pop culture from television and movies.

SPANK: HARDER THE MUSICAL is presented by Omaha Performing Arts at the Orpheum Theater, 409 S. 16th St., on June 6 and 7, 2014. Performances are at 8:00 p.m. each night. Tickets start at $35 and are available at TicketOmaha.com, 402.345.0606 or at the Ticket Omaha Office inside the Holland Center. SPANK! THE FIFTY SHADES PARODY and SPANK! HARDER are not associated with, nor authorized by, author E.L. James or Vintage Press.
