The Omaha CommunityA staged reading of White Rabbit Red Rabbit will be held at the Omaha Community Playhouse Monday, November 6, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Alternative Programming series in OCP's Howard Drew Theatre. Alternative Programming readings are free and open to the public with the opportunity for donation. No tickets or reservations are necessary.

This will be the first of three readings of this script, each time performed by a different actor who has never read the script until it is performed. The remaining performances of White Rabbit Red Rabbit will be held February 19 and May 14, 2018. OCP Associate Artistic Director Jeff Horger will perform the first reading on November 6. He will then cast the subsequent performances with actors who have not seen or read the script.

White Rabbit Red Rabbit has been called a play but it's also a lively, global sensation that no one is allowed to talk about. Its award-winning playwright, Nassim Soleimanpour, is Iranian. His words have escaped censorship and are awaiting an audience. Slyly humorous and audaciously pointed, this 'theater-entertainment-meets-social-experiment' is unlike anything and will make you question everything.

This piece is always performed by a single actor who has never read the script before and has no idea what it's about. Come experience a truly unique piece of theatre, then come back to see it again with a different performer.
