2010-2011 Season 24 Seasons of Laughter

Harvey
By Mary Chase
August 6- Aug 28, 2010

Affable Elwood P. Dowd has a kind word for everyone he meets. He lives a quiet life with his social-climbing sister and her daughter and is devoted to his loyal and trustworthy friend and constant companion, Harvey. The fact that Harvey happens to be a six-foot tall invisible rabbit doesn't seem to bother Elwood but is an ongoing embarrassment to his family who decides to have him committed. In this Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy, the medical establishment is turned topsy-turvy as Elwood and Harvey cause pandemonium.

Lucky Stiff
Book and Lyrics by Lynn Ahrens
Music by Stephen Flaherty
October 1-30, 2010

Unassuming English shoe salesman, Harry Witherspoon, is forced to take the embalmed body of his recently-murdered Atlantic City uncle on a vacation to Monte Carlo. Should he succeed in passing his Uncle off as alive, Harry Witherspoon stands to inherit $6,000,000. If not, the money goes to the Universal Dog Home of Brooklyn, or else to the gun-toting wife of the casino owner! Called "A delicious, zany throwback " by the New York Post, Lucky Stiff is a classic musical farce, complete with slamming doors, mistaken identities, six million bucks in diamonds, and a corpse in a wheelchair.

A Territorial Christmas Carol:
An Oklahoma Tradition
By Stephen P. Scott Based on the novel "A Christmas Carol"
by Charles Dickens
November 26 - December 23, 2010

A Pollard Theatre Original, which never fails to delight audiences year after year! Adapted by gifted Oklahoma playwright, Stephen P. Scott, this version of Charles Dickens' classic tale of redemption and brotherly love is set in the days of the Oklahoma Land Run. The Nerd
by Larry Shue
February 11, 2011 - March 5, 2011

Willum Cubbert has never met Rick Steadman, a fellow ex-GI who saved his life in Vietnam. He has written to Rick to say that, as long as he is alive, "you will have somebody on Earth who will do anything for you"-so Willum is delighted when Rick shows up unexpectedly at his apartment on the night of his thirty-fourth birthday party. But his delight soon fades as it becomes apparent that Rick is a hopeless "nerd"-a bumbling oaf with no social sense, little intelligence and even less tact.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Music and Lyrics by David Yazbeck Book by Jeffrey Lane
April 8 - May 8, 2011

Based on the popular MGM film, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels centers on two con men living on the French Riviera. The first is the suave and sophisticated Lawrence Jameson and the other, a small-time crook named Freddy Benson. They agree on a settlement: the first one to extract $50,000 from a young female target, heiress Christine Colgate, wins and the other must leave town. A hilarious battle of cons ensues, that will keep audiences laughing, humming and guessing to the end!
