Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma Holds Auditions for 2011 Summer and Fall Shows

Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma is holding auditions from through March 6, 2011 to cast roles for its 2011 summer and fall shows including, Oliver!, Hairspray, Ragtime, A Chorus Line, Altar Boyz and A Christmas Carol. Auditions will take place at the Lyric Production Center at 1801 NW 16th Street, Oklahoma City.

Monday, February 28 were Apprentice and Teen Chorus auditions (ages 14-18) at 4:30 p.m. and Tuesday, March 1 was the Children's auditions (ages 6-15) at 4:30 p.m.

Auditions for all other actors, ages 18 and older, will be held Wednesday, March 2 through Sunday, March 6 at the Lyric Production Center. These auditions are by appointment only. Call Matthew Sipress at (405)524-9310 to schedule an audition time. Prepare 16 bars of your best musical theatre song and please bring a non-returnable headshot and resume. An accompanist will be provided for you.

Singer auditions will be held on Wednesday, March 2 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Thursday, March 3 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Friday, March 4 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Appointment is necessary.

The open dance calls will be held on Thursday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 5 at 2:00 p.m. Registration begins one hour prior to call time.

Final callbacks will be held as needed on Sunday, March 6 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
