OKLAHOMA CITY-The Oklahoma City Theatre Company Native American New Play Festival is set to preview its featured production, "Round Dance" by Arigon Starr (Kickapoo,Creek) June 7, 2018 at 8pm in the Civic Center Music Hall City Space Theatre. "Round Dance" features an all-Native cast and is directed by Carolyn Dunn. (Cherokee, Creek, Tunica-Choctaw-Biloxi) Launched in 2010, the Oklahoma City Theatre Company Native American New Play Festival is a one-of-a-kind event in the region, and has since become a major national showcase for the production of new Native American plays featuring Native artists.

Performances of "Round Dance" continue June 8 , 9 and June 14-16 at 8 p.m. at the City Space Theatre in the Civic Center Music Hall, 201 N. Walker. Tickets are on sale at www.NANPF.org; www.okcciviccenter.com or call the Civic Center Box office at 405-297-2264.

The Native American New Play Festival will also feature four staged readings of new Native plays by Native playwrights. "Neechie-Itas" by Jo MacDonald (Anishinaabe) and "Little Brother of War" by Bret Jones (Muscogee Creek) perform Saturday, June 9. "River of Blood" by Ed Bourgeois, (Mohawk) and "The Bone Picker" by Carolyn Dunn, (Cherokee, Creek, and Tunica-Choctaw-Biloxi) perform Saturday, June 16. Kiowa musician, Terry Tsotigh will also perform Saturday, June 16. Performances begin at noon in the Civic Center Music Hall City Space Theatre.
