Mark DeGarmo Dance (MDD) broadcasts its 14th annual Virtual Salon Performance Series for Social Change (VSPS) 2024 featuring Global, U.S., New York City and State Emerging and Established Asian American and Pacific Islander, Black, Indigenous, People of Color, Latino, and Other; LGBTQIA+, Seniors, and Women Performing Artists on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 7 PM ET on a Live Online Interactive Zoom Broadcast*.
MDD’s VSPS is an audience- and artist-acclaimed sharing of works-in-progress with a facilitated audience response curated and facilitated by Mark DeGarmo. MDD’s Thursday February 1 salon features CJ Donohoe (Brighton, MA), GOODW.Y.N. (NYC), Rulan Tangen (Santa Fe, NM), and FangTing Yeh (NYC).

VSPS provides a curated opportunity for the general public to view, engage with, and demystify the creation of original dance & movement works-in-progress of emerging, mid-career, & established artists.

President Barack Obama commended DeGarmo and MDD for your service to your community and the nation. The National Endowment for the Arts deemed MDD’s NYC dance education program for under- resourced public elementary children of color living under the federal poverty rate a national model.
