Love Letters at ATA Sargent Theatre

Creative Atlas and New Wave Arts proudly present a new production of A.R. Gurney’s Pulitzer-nominated play Love Letters, directed by Gera Sandler, at the ATA Sargent Theatre in New York, November 19–23, 2025. Performed in Russian with English subtitles, this interpretation bridges two theatrical worlds — Russian emotional depth and American minimalism — revealing new dimensions of intimacy and memory.

Starring Maria Atlas as Melissa and Lev Grzhonko as Andy, this bilingual production explores the correspondence between two childhood friends whose lives intertwine through decades of longing, laughter, and heartbreak. Through letters too intimate to destroy and too honest to forget, the story unveils the fragility of human connection.

This reimagined version of Love Letters emphasizes language as both a barrier and a bridge — where words, written over a lifetime, become the truest form of love.
