Mmmm mmmmm... at Secret Location in Washington Heights

From the creators of MIXT: A Living Gallery,  The Why Collective presents a new speakeasy salon series designed for intimacy, intention, and imagination, mysteriously called Mmmm mmmm. These Monthly miniMIXT Mondays promise to be a grab bag of music, movement, musings, mingling, meditation, and more. miniMIXT takes everything you love about our immersive gallery—art in motion, community art creation, and unexpected connections—and remixes it into a speakeasy setting. For three hours on a Monday night each month, we’ll gather to form a micro-community, built moment by moment. 

On the evenings of September 29th and October 27th from 7-10 PM, join us for an underground art gathering that echoes the creative expansiveness of 20th century Parisian salon culture, which birthed forward-thinking artistic movements that still impact the art world today. Taking inspiration from the hush-hush cabaret shows of 1920s Berlin and the bohemian counterculture of 1960s music in Greenwich Village, Mmmm mmmm emphasizes the importance of furtive spaces for creative freedom and intellectual exchange.
