Offenbach’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann opens the Metropolitan Opera’s 2024–25 Live in HD season on October 5. French tenor Benjamin Bernheim makes his Met role debut as Hoffmann, joined by soprano Erin Morley as Olympia, a character she has previously excelled in. The cast also features mezzo-soprano Vasilisa Berzhanskaya in her Met debut, along with Pretty Yende and Clémentine Margaine, both making their role debuts at the company. Under the baton of Marco Armiliato, this production brings to life the fantastical elements of Hoffmann's tale.
