HAMLET MACABRE CABARET,conceived and directed by Sheila Morgan, will make its world premiere in a limited engagement run Monday, October 22nd through Thursday, November 1st at Stonewall Inn at 53 Christopher Street, NYC. HAMLET MACABRE CABARET reshapes the classic text of Shakespeare's masterpiece into a contemporary drama about a young hipster’s struggle with mental illness, substance abuse and the premature death of his beloved father. Set upstairs at the iconic Stonewall Inn, the royal crime family gathers to enjoy the return of famous cabaret performer Rosencrantz, Hamlet’s first love - and watches with horror as the Prince unravels into madness, provoked by his drug-induced hallucinations. Performing the haunting ‘pop’ hits of Renaissance composer John Dowland and edited to a lean 90 minutes, this unique production is certainly a Hamlet for the new millennium.

Performances of HAMLET MACABRE CABARET are on Monday, October 22 through Wednesday, October 24, and Monday, October 29, Tuesday, October 30, and Thursday, November 1. There are six performances in total. All performances are at 7:15pm. Doors open at 7:00 pm.

Tickets are $10 general admission, plus a required (2)- drink minimum. Ticket-holders must be 21+ only. Tickets are available on Eventbrite using the following link:
