- The Dance Parade 2026, its 20th Anniversary, returns May 16 and takes to the streets with a dazzling display of artistic expression and cultural celebration. The largest dance parade in the world, the joyous event includes 150 groups who will dance their way down downtown, enchanting the crowds with global dances and music from Africa, South America, Asia, and Europe, alongside urban styles such as voguing, breaking, popping, and house. Well-loved partner dances are not forgotten, with the Lindy Hop, Ballroom, Salsa, Hustle, and Swing. The family-friendly day comes to a grand finale in Tompkins Square Park, where stages have been set up for full performances, free dance lessons, and mixing and mingling.
