The Actors Theatre Workshop (ATW) is opening its doors to create a sanctuary for human connection in an increasingly divided world. This free creative workshop series invites people from all walks of life – immigrants, young people, senior citizens, business professionals – to come together, share ideas in a safe creative space, and rediscover the deep sense of humanity that connects us all.
Led by ATW's Artistic Director Thurman E. Scott, Creating Hope Through Our Stories emphasizes active participation, guiding participants to engage, write, draw, reflect and share about themselves and their visions of the future while developing storytelling skills through experiential learning. Each session combines writing exercises, guided discussion, and presentations. Whether you attend one session or join us for the entire series, you'll learn valuable creative techniques that give you fresh tools for self-expression while connecting with a diverse community of open-minded people.
For over 35 years, ATW has been a pillar for individual expression where you can explore your imagination, express opinions, and generate original ideas. Whether you're feeling isolated or enraged by modern life, or simply looking for meaningful dialogue about the future, this workshop offers the freedom and spontaneity to think alongside a supportive community where everyone wins.
