West of 10th to Present Mindy Kaling and Brenda Withers' MATT & BEN

Off-Off-Broadway theater company West of 10th announces their premiere production of Matt & Ben by Mindy Kaling and Brenda Withers. Matt & Ben is opening on August 26th, 2015 for a limited run at the Workshop Theater in midtown.

Matt & Ben features Piyali Syam as Matt Damon and Rachel Goodgal as Ben Affleck and is directed by Maureen Fleming. Performances are Wednesday 8/26 at 8pm, Thursday 8/27 at 8pm, Friday 8/28 at 7:30pm and 10pm, Saturday 8/29 at 3pm and 8pm, and Sunday 8/30 at 3pm and 8pm.

Matt & Ben won "Best Overall Production" in the 2002 NY Fringe Festival when playwrights Kaling and Withers depicted the two halves of Hollywood's favorite bromance: Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. In 1997, these childhood friends won an Oscar for their screenplay, Good Will Hunting. Set in Ben's apartment in 1995, the hilarious play gives us a glimpse into what might have happened before Matt and Ben became household names.
