Honed during our 2010 Jackson Rep debut, 167 TONGUES, our creators use a unique system of collaborative creation - this is not seven one-acts, but one play by seven authors sharing characters, interweaving storylines. YOU ARE NOW THE OWNER OF THIS SUITCASE

Written by Mando Alvarado, Jenny Lyn Bader, Barbara Cassidy, Les Hunter, Joy Tomasko, Gary Winter and Stefanie ZadravecA young woman arriving from Ecuador accidentally switches suitcases with a mysterious stranger. Her quest to recover the missing suitcase will lead her to encounter lovers, dreamers, fighters, a magical cell phone, books that come to life, and the best guitar player in the world. Seven authors created this play, combining magic realism with urban grit, melding multiple styles into one voice. Inspired by international folk tales collected in the most diverse neighborhood in the world. Starring Patricia Becker, Rajesh Bose*, Kim Carlson*, Arlene Chico-Lugo, Kathleen Choe, Bernardo Cubria*, Ross DeGraw*, Oscar Fabela, Samuel T. Gaines*, John P.
