Sheneatha Presents THE BUTTERFLIES SHOW A Contemporary Variety Show Image

Come be sublimely lifted by what Tony award-winning choreographer, producer, director, dancer and philanthropist George Faison calls the "refreshing" voice of Sheneatha. On Sunday, March 10, 2019 7pm, the international performer presents an original production, "The Butterflies Show", at The Triad Theatre on 158 West 72nd Street*NY, NY*10023. This contemporary variety show is hyped concert meets Broadway meets game show meets family reunion! Mixed with fun, laughter, joy and surprise, "The Butterflies Show" will showcase the music of the many storied women that laid the bricks upon which modern artists now tread. Those legends include Chaka, Barbra, Diana, Aretha, Tina, Dolly and more. From the moment guests enter the theater and are greeted by Butterflies hostesses, they are enveloped in an atmosphere of love and inspiration.

Whether providing supporting vocals for Sam Smith on The Grammys or winning first place on The Apollo's legendary stage, Sheneatha's love for entertaining audiences is evident. This singing librarian, who has toured internationally and currently works in school outreach for Brooklyn Public Library, is taking education and empowerment to the off-Broadway stage in this high octane, interactive variety show. Sheneatha interweaves anecdotes about the artists into a set of energetic songs and dance numbers all while promoting audience participation and sheer enjoyment. Audience members are surprised to be called onstage to become "Supremes" or contestants for the game show, "The Butterflies Battle".

The delightfully talented supporting singers -- Kiaama Hudson, Cenophia Mitchell and Chloe Thompson - partner with Sheneatha to create magical musical moments, fabulous dance numbers and hilarious bits of comedy. The incredible band features James Williams on Keys, Luke McCrosson (Musical Director) on Bass, Jay Francis on Drums and Bobby Kelly on Guitar. The Butterflies Show's dynamic choreographer, Juson Williams, is a 5-time Audelco Award Winner, accredited actor and singer. Julian Summers, vocal director, is also an international vocalist, gifted arranger and songwriter.

Do not let the Butterflies flutter away without taking in the beauty, inspiration and joy of this fabulous event! Tickets are currently available for $25 [plus 2 drink minimum] at www.triadnyc.com.
