Previews Begin 9/25 For Turtle Shell Productions' Summer Shorts Fall Brief

Turtle Shell Productions is extending a successful run of “Summer Shorties – Summ-Ar Not” under a new name, Summer Shorts Fall Briefs, 20 exciting original short plays, which are split between the adult presentation and the youth.  The plays are written by innovative playwrights from across the country and internationally.  The event has two separate nights of performances that cater to adults and children.  Previews begin on September 25.

Summer Shorts Fall Briefs mixes a pinch of quirky (a couple bonds on the things they hate), a splash of satire (on the news media and reality shows), a dollop of comedy (Blitzen has been downsized), a dash of horror (a teenager experiments with murder), and a dram of drama (a desperate daughter challenges her suicidal dad?) into a late summer treat that will keep the fall warm and satisfy your appetite for entertaining, provocative theatre.

Fall Briefs is the 10th play festival produced by Turtle Shell Production’s, having presented almost 300 plays in their six-year history.  These festivals have given opportunities to hundreds of new and established playwrights, actors and directors to hone their craft and display their talents to the public.

The plays will be directed by Leslie (Hoban) Blake, John W. Cooper, Peter Sander, Bill Toscano, Shela Xoregos, and Natasha Yannacañedo.  Share in the excitement of discovering new material and excellent performances in our comfortable air-conditioned theatre right in the heart of Times Square.

Turtle Shell Productions has produced over 90 plays including Five By Tenn., Blues for Mister Charlie, PUCK’d, Ourselves Alone, The 8 Minute Madness Playwright Festival, The Aspern Papers, and Dreams. TSP is in its sixth year producing plays in New York City.

The Turtle’s Shell Theater (in the Times Square Arts Center) is located at 300 W. 43rd Street, New York, NY 10036.
