TOO MANY LADIES...celebrates and dissects all that it means to be female by presenting honest experiences, biting social commentary and riotously funny observations. The Neo-Futurists? diverse cast of women writer/performer/directors will attempt to perform 30 powerfully feminist original plays in 60 patriarchal smashing minutes!

"We wanted to honor women during Women?s History Month and TOO MANY LADIES...was an opportunity to showcase women?s voices in the radical and dynamic way that only the New York Neo-Futurists can," says Meg Bashwiner, co-artistic director of the New York Neo-Futurists.

GIRL BE HEARD is a nonprofit theatre company that brings global issues affecting girls center stage by empowering young women to tell their stories. Girl Be Heard is uniquely positioned to engage at-risk youth and open up dialogue about social justice issues affecting their communities - from gun violence to sex trafficking. They run both after school and weekend education programs in underserved areas of New York City, where all of the girls? theatrical work is generated. Building self-esteem, growing individual talents, and empowering girls to become leaders in and advocates for their communities is Girl Be Heard's unique model and why Girl Be Heard has been so successful. TOO MANY LADIES...is a timed show: 14 Neo-Futurist women will race against the clock to perform each play in two minutes or less in a random order decided by the audience. Blending the comic and the tragic, the New York Neo-Futurists perform in a non-illusory style and use words, signs, music, puppetry, and dance to convey their experiences and ideas as directly and honestly as possible on stage.

The New York Neo-Futurists are the prolific minds behind the ongoing show, Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind created by Greg Allen, performed every Friday and Saturday at the Kraine Theater in Manhattan's East Village. Celebrating their twelfth year in New York, the Neo-Futurists have premiered over 4,000 new plays. In addition to writing and performing for the show, they have a stalwart presence in the Off- Off Broadway community, and are the winners of the 2006 Innovative Theatre Award for Outstanding Performance Art for Too Much Light Make the Baby Go Blind and 2011 Innovative Theatre Award for Outstanding Performance Art for Locker #4173B. In addition, they have received three Drama Desk Nominations for Unique Theatrical Experience for The Complete and Condensed Stage Directions of Eugene O'Neill Vol: 1 & 2 and most recently, The Human Symphony.

In New York, Chicago, San Francisco and beyond, the Neo-Futurists continue to expose and explore new artistic territory, all consistent with the original mission to create interactive, highly personal, emotionally and intellectually challenging art for the general public.
