The Players Theatre Short Play Festival is currently underway and one play that is not to be missed is Patrick McEvoy's "Love Cures."

"Love Cures" stars Danika St.Denis as Denise, Robert Walker Jeffrey as Matt and Samyuktha Viswanathan as Dr.Elixian. Matt and Denise have visited Dr. Elixian in the hope of curing heartbreak and what follows is a heartwarming play that highlights just how far love will take you.

Originally from Canada, Danika performed with a variety of professional and regional theatres since the age of eight. After making the move to New York, she has performed with RWS Entertainment Group, The Other Side of Silence (TOSOS) Theater Co., Living Room Theater Co., AlphaNYC, and is a permanent member of Our Time Players Theater Co. She is thrilled to now be working with The Players Theatre!

Samyuktha Viswanathan, an actress originally from India, moved to New York to follow her passion for performance. Also a writer and dancer, she has acted in numerous plays, National TV commercials and short films, while working on her performance poetry.

Robert is an actor and writer originally from New York City. He received his MFA from Columbia University in May 2018. Robert recently made his New York stage debut in "Waiting for Giovanni," where he played James Baldwin's Swiss lover Luc in a sold-out run at The Flea.

Catch this play while you can! Performances February 7-9th at 7pm and February 10th at 3pm at The Players Theatre, 115 MacDougal Street.

Tickets $30 and available at www.shortplaynyc.com
