LNWD's DARK STAR Plays This Weekend at The Bushwick Starr

Welcome to the Dark Star. Eclectic Brooklyn-based performance artist and musician Linwood Young (aka LNWD) presents a three night concert event that invites the audience aboard the Dark Star ship to enjoy an evening of great music and throwing down.

SirCharles opens the event with his infectious pop sound followed by LNWD performing songs from his works "The Ballad of Super Niggs," "BIG FUN," and a yet-to-be-titled mixtape. Come prepared to dance! The event is DJ'ed by the eclectic and vivacious CH Rom. Featuring special guest Jendog Lonewolf.

Dark Star was conceived by Linwood Young, sound design and DJing by CH Rom, sound production by Brilliant, My Boy, DJ White Crime and various producers, production design and costume design by Kimberly Matela, and costume design by Alison Johnson.

The Bushwick Starr theater: 207 Starr Street, Brooklyn, NY [between Irving and Wyckoff]

Directions:

Via Subway take the L Train to Jefferson Street, exit at Starr Street, walk against traffic on Starr, and the theater is 3/4 of a block on the right.

About LNWD:

LNWD (Linwood Young) is an NYC artist who's been honing his craft in Bushwick for the last 6 ½ years. Since arriving in New York City, he has enjoyed working on many projects including various films doing Art Direction, dancing in the show "Room to Panic" with Loco 7 at LaMama Theater, and dancing in the Bjork music video "Declare Independence" directed by Michel Gondry. LNWD is currently using his past experiences with theater, dance and music to focus on rapping. He released his first EP "The Ballad of Super Niggs" in 2013 and his latest project "BIG FUN" in June. LNWD's next project is a yet to be titled mixtape that will come out in late fall. His music can be found at LNWD.bandcamp.com and soundcloud.com/lnwd/tracks.
