Hamlet Isn't Dead to Stage All-Female HENRY V This Summer Image

Hamlet Isn't Dead presents an all-female production of William Shakespeare's Henry V.

In Shakespeare's much-beloved masterpiece, the newly crowned monarch, Henry V, faces his first test -- the inevitable clash with the armies of France. Henry must muster and inspire his troops to glory against all odds, despite his own apprehension about the impending bloodshed. Including such inspirational speeches from Shakespeare's canon like "Once more unto the breech" and "St. Crispin's day", this is a stirring experience you won't want to miss!

Hamlet Isn't Dead's first all-female production tackles the pursuit of glory, the pleasure of humor, and even a little French romance in this complex, swashbuckling tale. Inspired by "this wooden O", the Globe, Henry V features Hamlet Isn't Dead's signature style of performance that draws the audience into a world of joy, excitement, music, and wonder.

In addition, Hamlet Isn't Dead is dedicated to creating opportunities for exemplary female artists in classical theatre. Re-balancing the scales of equality, this production features thirteen fiercely-talented women, led by the brilliant and dynamic HID company member Megan Greener as King Henry V, and directed by the esteemed Dr. Valerie Clayman Pye.

Featuring thrilling stage combat, live music and HID's intimate, joyful style -- you won't want to miss this one!
