'Girl', the Israeli play written by Yuval Vine, (she/her) will premiere in the U.S. Monday, March 9th at the Hudson Guild Theater. The play gives viewers a front row seat to a teenager's decision-making journey between an old love, a new love, and self love.

"After Yuval's successful year-long run in Israel's Tzavta Theatre, I knew it was time for New York City to experience 'Girl'" said New York based international producer, Maya Avisar (she/her).

Bridging the divide between New York City and Israel are the two queer women leading the production: Yuval Vine, and director Ella Mora (she/they). Mora, a Brooklyn-based director, and proud member of Ring of Keys (an national organization for queer women, trans, and gender non-conforming professional artists) was entrusted to direct the first U.S. production of 'Girl' alongside Daniél Cohen (he/him), assistant director and translator.

"The protagonist of this play is paralyzed by indecision and fear. She questions: which of her two partners makes her feel safer? Is being in love with anyone ever truly safe?" shares Mora. "Working on this play has inspired me to question the cyclical nature of relationships -- do people have the power to change the way they love and harm each other?

'Girl' stars the talented Kegan Witzki (He/Him/His) (Last Christmas) as Mark. Chicago native and The Hartt School alumni, Austin Doughty (He/Him/His) as Tom. Making her New York stage debut and playing the role of 'Girl' is Israeli actress Maya Shoham (She/Her/Hers).

The production features a list of women in leadership roles that made 'Girl' possible. Producer, Maya Avisar. Production Stage Manager, Jay Isaacs (she/her). Sound Designer, KJ Jarboe (she/her). Lighting Designer, Kathrine R. Mitchell (she/her). Director, Ella Mora. Playwright, Yuval Vine. Casting by Sofia Wasserman-Smith (she/her).
