END OF THE DAY, EP 1 to Receive Two Readings in Brooklyn and East Village
Adrienne Dawes' absurdist comedy features Olivia Swasey and Savanna Zumbado at Young Ethel's and Under St. Marks.
Heckle Her Productions is to present two readings of END OF THE DAY, EP 1, a new play written by Adrienne Dawes and directed by Jenny Larson-Quiñones, on July 27 and July 29, 2026, at venues in Brooklyn and the East Village. The absurdist work follows three British reality contestants — Tud, Myleigh, and Lancelot — isolated from the outside world after a massive extinction event, cycling through denial and acceptance as they search for love and connection. Inspired by Love Island UK, Sims 4, and Theatre of the Absurd, the play examines what the press release calls the anxieties of the "coronial age."
The cast includes Olivia Swasey, Savanna Zumbado, Dominic Raymond, and Ja'Michael De'Shawn. The first reading takes place Monday, July 27 at 6pm at Young Ethel's, 506 5th Ave, Brooklyn; the second is Wednesday, July 29 at 7:30pm at Under St. Marks, 94 St Marks Pl, Manhattan. Tickets are available at adriennedawes.com/heckleher, with advance purchase recommended due to limited availability.
