Ace of Clubs Theatre Presents GAY ZOMBIE, 10/27
Just in time for Halloween, Ace of Clubs Theater presents GAY ZOMBIE: A Glam Rock Zombie Musical. Written by and starring Matthew Fletcher, GAY ZOMBIE runs for one performance only, Wednesday, October 27 at 7pm.
Tom's not your typical zombie. He's a glam rock GAY ZOMBIE with a kick ass zombie band (many of whom have worked on "Rock of Ages" on Broadway). Together, they perform live in an on stage experience which covers music from the likes of AC/DC, The Ramones, David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails. Through rock songs and off the wall stories, Tom takes the audience through his journey of becoming a zombie, fleeing to New York to escape authorities and trying to find life, love and brains in the big city. GAY ZOMBIE: A Glam Rock Zombie Musical promises a killer band tearing up classic rock, outrageous bloody stage effects and a zombie love story that will rip your heart out...literally.
Matthew Fletcher is a New York based performer, writer, and producer who has created work for TV, theater and events. With a primary background in theater, his work has been represented as a producer Off-Broadway for Nicky Silver's A Maiden's Prayer, at the Kraine Theater for Day of Reckoning, and for his own long running karaoke show Kick Ass Karaoke, where he performed as well. His TV experience was at MTV Networks, where he produced network identity spots and promos for Logo and Nickelodeon. He blended together his theater and camera experience as he launched into the event production world, where he has created fully immersive corporate meetings and launch events for clients such as Walmart, Absolut Vodka, Monster.com, and T-Mobile. As a performer, he has been seen in a variety of New York workshops and regionally around the country in various theatrical productions. His most notable work as a performer was as the hummus man in his own online commercial for the Sabra Hummus commercial contest --which he won.
