A BROOKLYN LOVE STORY Returns to Manhattan Repertory Theatre for One-Night-Only, 6/2
A BROOKLYN LOVE STORY, the critically-acclaimed show New York Press declared to be "lighting up off-off-Broadway" returns for a one-night-only performance at New York's Manhattan Repertory Theatre following a successful run in Los Angeles. Dubbed a "one-woman tour de force," by OffBroadway.com, A BROOKLYN LOVE STORY is written and performed by Chiara Montalto based on her real-life experiences of caring for her ailing grandfather. Directed by Ronnie Marmo, the show has been extended to one final performance this Sunday, June 2 at 7PM at Manhattan Repertory Theatre on 202 West 42nd Street. A BROOKLYN LOVE STORY explores what happens when a twenty-something granddaughter moves with her eighty-something grandfather. In what iNK Magazine hails as a "seamlessly choreographed" and "constant and entertaining surprise," Mantalto relates a moving story about the profound relationship between a grandfather and a granddaughter as one's life is ending and the other's is just beginning.

CHIARA MONTALTO ?was born in Brooklyn, New York to a loving Italian-American family. As a kid, she was always interested in literature, movies and writing. In college, she started studying acting and was quickly hooked. She has performed in numerous productions in New York
City, including Does a Tiger Wear a Necktie; Metropolitan Operas andThe 40th Anniversary Production of Balm in Gilead as well as an Italian language production of Pirandello's La Giara.
RONNIE MARMO Ronnie Marmo has starred in more than 30 plays, including his portrayal of Lenny Bruce in the one man production of Lenny Bruce is Back. He recently completed a run of Baby Doll for the Elephant Theatre Company. A few of his other favorites include Danny and The Deep Blue Sea, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot and Bill W. and Dr. Bob at Theatre 68. Marmo has also written several scripts, both for the stage and the screen. His favorite is the semi-autobiographical story, West of Brooklyn, released in 2009, which he wrote, produced and starred in. He recently received the Robert Pastorelli Rising Star Award for achievements as actor, writer, director and producer at the 2010 Garden State Film Festival. Ronnie currently appears on ABC's General Hospital as Ronnie Dimestico and he continues to serve at the Artistic Director of the 68 Cent Crew Theatre Company in Los Angeles and New York City.
