Lighthouse Repertory Theatre Company Brings Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific to St. James

ST. JAMES, NY – Lighthouse Repertory Theatre Company is proud to present the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical classic, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific, performing at the newly renovated Calderone Theatre at Celebrate St. James from June 5–14, 2026.

Set against the backdrop of World War II, this timeless masterpiece explores two parallel love stories threatened by the dangers of war and the grip of prejudice. Audiences will enjoy a lush, iconic score featuring favorites such as “Some Enchanted Evening,” “Bali Ha’i,” and “There Is Nothin’ Like a Dame.”

Directed by Tony Chiofalo, the production features a stellar cast led by Soloman Buchman and Jon Hordos as Emile de Becque, and Jacklyn Lisi and Christina Russo as Nellie Forbush.
