(07/19/2016) - On Monday, July 18th, Aaron Paul, his wife Lauren, actor/singer Troye Sivan, and model Jacob Bixenman turned the popular immersive theater experience SLEEP NO MORE (now in its fifth hit year at The McKittrick Hotel in NYC) into a scene out of 'Mr. Robot' as they donned SLEEP NO MORE's now-famous masks (which all audience members wear while attending the performance) and took to the streets of Chelsea, NYC for a homage to the 'F Society' characters (who also don masks) on the red-hot Emmy-nominated TV show.

The Musical, marked its one-year anniversary on July 13th and the cast celebrated into the wee hours at Becco. RUTHLESS! opened July 13, 2015 to unanimous rave reviews led by Rex Reed who called the show, 'Malicious & Delicious...A Total Joy!' Just some of the celebrities who have been spotted in the audience so far include Ron Howard, Regis & Joy Philbin, Bernadette Peters, Lynn Cohen, Chelsie Hightower, Mario Cantone, Dmitry Chaplin, Laura Bell Bundy, Barbara Eden, Jan Maxwell, Legacy, Larry Thomas (The Soup Nazi), Jackie Hoffman, Sierra Boggess, and Dame Gillian Lynne. The original cast recording, produced by Robert Sher, is set for release later this summer.

(07/08/2016) - On July 7th the girls of Springfield High School received a fun surprise - at each performance a man is selected from the audience to portray the music teacher, Mr. Lee.  Last night that participant happened to be Russell Tovey, star of Broadway's The History Boys, and well as HBO's "Looking".   Also in the audience were Dee Hoty (Bright Star) and Nancy Opel (Honeymoon in Vegas, Urinetown) as well as Ace Young (American Idol, Broadway's Grease and Hair).

(06/29/2016) - The Riant Theatre (Van Dirk Fisher, Artistic Director), a nonprofit theatre supporting playwrights and theatremakers of diverse cultural backgrounds, held the Launch Party for its annual Strawberry One-Act and Theatre Festival, which takes place from July 14th-31st. The evening included the presentation of 2016 Pioneer of the Arts Award For Outstanding Achievement In Television and Theatre to the Emmy-winning stage, film and TV actor Joe Morton, Tony Nominee and eight time AUDELCO Award winner, Andre De Shields, the acclaimed Broadway and television actress Barbara Montgomery, and multiple Grammy Award winner, Broadway musical director and arranger Chapman Roberts.

(06/29/2016) - Woodie King Jr.'s New Federal Theatre (NFT) held a festive Gala Benefit on Sunday, June 26 from 2:00 to 5:30 PM at Trump Place, 220 Riverside Boulevard (enter West 70th Street) honoring Novella Nelson and Melvin Van Peebles, two of many actors and directors who have worked at NFT over the theatre's 46 year history. Honorees were on hand to receive their awards and Anne Jackson & Eli Wallach, Anne Meara, and Elizabeth Swados were posthumously inducted into the Off Broadway Hall of Fame. Johnson, Jack Lane, Radio Mouse Entertainment, Schaffert/Hummel, Driemeyer-Sills Productions, Michael Guccione, David Gersten, Erach Screwvala, and The Shubert Organization, by special arrangement with Cranberry Productions, are proud to welcome Tony and Drama Desk Award Winner Cady Huffman to the cast of Shear Madness. Cady assumes the role of Mrs. Shubert, originated by Lynne Wintersteller. Also joining the cast is Jonathan Randell Silver, most recently seen in Please Continue at Ensemble Studio Theatre, who will assume the role of Mike Thomas.  Adam Gerber, who created the role of Mike Thomas, has replaced Jeremy Kushnier in the role of Eddie Lawrence.

(06/22/2016) - Sylvia St. Croix (as played by the fabulous Paul Pecorino in RUTHLESS!), is preparing for this year's Gay Pride festivities on Sunday. Earlier this week she brought Marcel, her newest fancy man, over to St. Luke's Theatre to show him off to her fellow cast members. Although she won't be walking the parade route (too rough on her bunions), Sylvia & Marcel will be hanging around the West Village, most likely near any booths offering food. Sylvia is widely known for her frequent eating binges (and subsequent purging).

(06/06/2016) - Producer/Directors Tom and Michael D'Angora were welcomed American Idol and Hairspray alum Diana Degarmo to The Marvelous Wonderettes, whose official opening was Thursday, June 2nd.  For her opening night performance, DeGarmo was joined onstage with a surprise cameo from her husband, former Idol alum and star of Broadway's Hair, Ace Young, as the audience participant, Mr Lee.  The show celebrated with friends and Broadway stars afterwards at Oovina Latin Kitchen and Wine Bar.
