Photo Flash: Cast of AVENUE Q Marches in NYC Pride Parade!

AVENUE Q celebrated NYC pride weekend on Sunday when puppet stars Rod and Lucy took to the streets of New York City on board the Impulse Group NYC Pride Parade Float. Just 3 days after he renewed his vows with Ricky, Rod took Lucy to enjoy a fun filled day away from the New World Stages, where Avenue Q performs 8 times a week. Check out photos below!

In the musical, Rod, a Wall Street banker, and Ricky, a "Chelsea boy," meet through an online personal ad placed by Rod's best friend and slacker roommate Nicky. It was love at first sight. The couple were one of the first to marry in the state of New York on July 24, 2011. They renewed their vows on June 23, 2016.

AVENUE Q has music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, book by Jeff Whitty, and is directed by Jason Moore with choreography by Ken Roberson. The musical is produced by Kevin McCollum, Robyn Goodman, Jeffrey Seller, Vineyard Theatre and The New Group.
