Hanging Cow Productions Presents THE ANSWERS TO APATHY Hanging Cow Productions produces return of hit play from 2015! The original production, first performed in 2015, was a hit with audiences and critics! Tony award winning Broadway Producer, Hugh Hayes, called the Answers to Apathy "a loving, funny, intelligent, insightful and a moving study of family relations that functions at the same time as an astute, honest observation on the complex nature of female bonding," and called playwright Elise Milner "the real deal." The show will perform at the American Theater of Actors on Off Broadway April 23rd - 29th, 2018. (Monday - Friday at 8pm and Saturday/Sunday at 2pm and 7pm)

Embrace your past and accept the present or your future may haunt you. Rainey Grander (played by the talented new comer to NYC, Emilie Gubler) has just received news of a life changing event, and when old friendships and new relationships collide in the present day, the course of everyone's fate lies in the hands of confronting their hopes, their fears, their dreams, their secrets, and their ways of coping with their own mortality. This is a beautiful and inspiring story about unique relationships and people navigating their lives after they have all experienced a profound loss, which is also their gain. The play tackles every human emotion, LOVE, RESENTMENT, FORGIVENESS, PASSION, HAPPINESS, AMBITION, and SORROW. This dramatic and sometimes humorous play centers around six colorful characters (Rainey, Lill, Barry, Nana Maize, Shaina, and Samantha) and their lives before and after the incident and how each is adversely effected in different ways while reflecting on their own choices, and how in the end, learning the most important "answer" to their lives of all...

Elise Maurine Milner, who's most recent hit plays include, "Angels Among Us," "12 Steps the Musical!" and "The Sixth Session," knows how to blend heavy hitting dramas with a pinch of hilarity, and vice versa. Elise founded Hanging Cow Productions in 2002 and has produced now over 250 productions since.
