Finalists Named for MAKING IT HAPPEN Ten-Minute Play Festival at The Theater Center
Seven playwrights will compete in the inaugural festival at the Jerry Orbach Theater in NYC
The Theater Center's inaugural Making It Happen Ten-Minute Play Festival has announced the seven playwrights who will compete in the finals next Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 7PM in the Jerry Orbach Theater, 210 W 50th Street, New York, NY, 10019. Designed to introduce and uplift new emerging voices in the theater scene, the Festival offered 15 playwrights the opportunity to showcase their work in an Off-Broadway house.
The seven playwrights who received the most audience votes are RJ Bernier (Pyre), Liz Grosul (First Grade), Aladen Gulmuhamed (Goodnight, I Love You), Sarah Hogewood (Doctor's Wife), Mark Harvey Levine (Misfortune), Jack Wohl (Blake and the Moose), and Howard Zuckerman (Making The Cut)
The winner will receive further opportunities to produce and develop their work at The Theater Center.
Selected playwrights received rehearsal and performance space at The Theater Center's intimate Off-Broadway venue in Times Square; a final showcase of their winning show at next week's Emerging Artists Collective Night; a consultation with 3C Management on how to promote, produce, and present their works; valuable audience feedback and an Off-Broadway debut for their show!
