David Ives' sold-out, highly-acclaimed new comedy, THE SCHOOL FOR LIES, directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie will close Sunday, May 29. The cast of THE SCHOOL FOR LIES features Alison Fraser, Mamie Gummer, Jenn Gambatese and Hamish Linklater, as well as Steven Boyer, Frank Harts, Rick Holmes, Hoon Lee and Matthew Maher.

The New York Times called THE SCHOOL FOR LIES "delightful" and said "writer David Ives credits Molière for having 'mixed the batter for tonight's soufflé' but it is his own inexhaustible verbal wit that makes it rise so deliciously high." The New Yorker wrote ""David Ives' effervescent take on Molière's The Misanthrope is a feast for the eyes and ears!" The New York Post raved "Make time for THE SCHOOL FOR LIES! A delectable refreshing sorbet of a show!" The Associated Press wrote "The audience erupts in laughter throughout! Hamish Linklater is outstandingly funny. Mamie Gummer plays Celimene with delightful radiant charm." The Huffington Post raved ""THE SCHOOL FOR LIES is bursting with life. Sparklingly fun, hilarious and thoroughly delightful! Ives scores again. Directed by Walter Bobbie with first-class verve and style, THE SCHOOL FOR LIES has it all." And The Daily News said ""Written with high-flying verbal virtuosity, David Ives' comedy is packed with laughs!"

THE SCHOOL FOR LIES reunites long-time collaborators Ives and Bobbie, who worked together last season at CSC on the acclaimed sold-out production of Venus in Fur and in 2008 on the acclaimed New Jerusalem. Their productions together range from Broadway, Off-Broadway, City Center Encores, Carnegie Hall and Public Television.

The design team for THE SCHOOL FOR LIES includes scenery by Tony Award winner John Lee Beatty, costumes by Tony Award winner William Ivey Long, lighting by Tony Award winner Peter Kaczorowski, hair design by special Tony Award winner Paul Huntley and sound by Tony nominated ACME Sound Partners.
