Amas Musical Theatre & Song Salon to Offer Special Benefit Presentation of GOTTA GETTA GIRL, 6/22

Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer) and The Amas Song Salon will offer a special benefit presentation of Gotta Getta Girl, a 1930's musical romp with book and lyrics by Peter Charles Morris and music by David Caldwell. Directed by Phillip George (Forbidden Broadway) with musical direction by Mr. Caldwell and a cast of three - Michael LaMasa, Brieghanna Minnema and Sam Underwood ("Dexter, "Homeland," "The Following"), the presentation will be held on Monday, June 22 in a beautiful terraced apartment in Harlem. The evening will begin at 6pm with cocktails and light dinner, followed by the performance and post-performance discussion at 7:30pm. In Gotta Getta Girl, Gene and Don, a Vaudeville tap dancing duo are forced to re-evaluate their unsuccessful career in show business when they decide they "gotta getta girl" into the act -- even if it means keeping Don from the one thing he's always wanted: Gene! When their new and adorable tap dancing beauty, Debbie, turns out to be more than what meets the eyes, Don is forced to take drastic steps to win back his man. The MGM Movie Musical that never was - on stage! The show was a 2011 New York Musical Theatre (NYMF) Official Selection.
