Is there anything more infectious and refreshing than a concert of Vivaldi? He wrote over 500 works for all kinds of Baroque instruments. Many of them were in response to an insatiable need for concerts for the cleverest girl at the Ospedale della Pietà, an orphanage, and music school for girls which he taught at in Venice.
The leader of the Vivaldi-bonanzaen's Knut Johannessen. He is one of Scandinavia's leading cembalister and interpreters of early music. The soloists, we are privileged enough to be able to retrieve from their own ranks, and the soloist on guitar and lute-Per Kjetil Farstad-is also "travelled". He is professor of music at the University of Agder, Norway. Farstad contains many kinds of guitar instruments and styles, from the end of the guitar and from classical to jazz.
