IMPRINTS to Make Oslo Debut With The Palimpsest Project

International theatre company The Palimpsest Project brings Imprints to Oslo for one night only, 12 September 2026

Award-nominated interdisciplinary performance combining live cinema, puppetry and physical theatre makes its Oslo premiere at Oslo Nye Teaterkjeller'n as part of Oslo Fringe

The Palimpsest Project, an international theatre company based in London and Zurich, will present Imprints at Oslo Nye Teaterkjeller'n on 12 September 2026, marking the production's first performance in Oslo.

Imprints is an interdisciplinary performance combining live cinema, puppetry and physical theatre. Told from the perspective of a queer protagonist navigating memory loss, the work explores memory, identity and belonging. Rooted in lived experience, the piece engages with questions of perception, reconstruction and the instability of memory.

The production has previously been presented as part of a full run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (Summerhall), as well as in Zurich and London, where it was nominated for an Off West End Theatre Award (OFFIE).

The performance is in English, with English subtitles.

A discount code is available for this performance: audiences who use the code "Max" when purchasing through Oslo Fringe will receive 20% off their ticket price. This offer is limited to 20 seats and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

About The Palimpsest Project:

The Palimpsest Project is a collective of International Artists creating contemporary performance founded in lived experiences. The company combines Beckett Gray's exploration of neurodiverse and Queer identities with the devising expertise of Lecoq-trained practitioners; Sam Critchlow, Elmira Oberholzer, and Ina Henriksen. The work blends technology, puppetry, and physical theatre, to create intimate, visually striking performances that foreground underrepresented narratives.
