For the first time in history, two of Mexico’s greatest musical institutions, Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán and Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán, will share the same stage in a unique and unforgettable celebration of Mexican heritage.
This historic show, titled “Mariachazo 2026”, brings together more than a century of tradition, passion, and pride in one night of music, culture, and emotion. The concert will feature both groups performing side by side, creating a powerful symphony of violins, trumpets, and voices that represent the heart of Mexico.
Founded in 1897, Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán is known worldwide as “the best mariachi in the world,” symbolizing excellence and the essence of Mexican music. Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán, founded in 1965 by brothers José “Pepe” and Fernando Martínez, has carried the Guadalajara sound worldwide with unmatched quality and devotion.
Beyond its musical magnitude, this union holds a deep symbolic meaning: Carlos Martínez, the current director of Mariachi Vargas, was trained in the ranks of Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán, thereby building a bridge between two legendary dynasties.
Mariachazo 2026 will be an immersive experience: a true Mexican fiesta where audiences will relive classic songs of love, heartbreak, and celebration, along with melodies that have defined the soundtrack of generations.
