Virginia Stage Company to Present THE OTHER PLACE, 1/20-2/8
Virginia Stage Company (VSC) kicks off 2015 with The Other Place by Sharr White, a fast-paced psychological thrill-ride directed by Chris Hanna that leaves audiences wishing they had a pause button and notepad. In this Hitchcock-style suspense-drama nothing is as it seems, and sometimes figuring it out is the most plaguing.
The Other Place will run from January 20th through February 8th 2015. The Public Dress Rehearsal Performance will be held on Sunday, January 18th at 7:00pm. Preview Performances run Tuesday, January 20th at 7:00pm and Wednesday and Thursday, January 18th and 19th at 8:00pm. Tickets for Preview Performances are $25. Opening Weekend begins Friday, January 23rd at 8:00pm, and regular performances will run Tuesdays at 7:00pm and Wednesdays-Saturdays at 8:00pm. Matinee performances will be offered on Saturday afternoons at 4:00pm and Sunday afternoons at 2:00pm.
VSC will hold a Director's Salon on Tuesday, January 20th at 6:00pm. All are invited for wine, discussion and an insider's look at the show with Chris Hanna. Celebrate Opening Night on Friday, January 23rd with a pre-show champagne reception at 7:30pm, The Other Place at 8:00pm, and VSC Uncorked, directly following the show.
VSC has partnered with Alchemy NFK for a Pop-Up Hitchcock inspired Gallery on January 30th at 433 Granby Street. Enjoy music, art and drinks while becoming immersed in the mind-bending psyche of The Other Place.
On, Sunday, February 1st Chris Hanna will host the first VSC Actor's Studio directly following the performance, an open conversation about acting and process with the Director and Actors of The Other Place.
