The Historic North Theatre in Danville, VA announces its new Celebrity Series starring Nationally Known Talent. The first show in the new series is ALRIGHT THEN starring veteran TV stars Orson Bean and Alley Mills on July 14-7:30 PM-One Show Only. Tickets are $25.00, 20.00 &15.00. A Meet & Greet at 6:00 PM-$35.00 includes one drink & light appetizers plus a front orchestra ticket to the show. Reservations may be made by calling 434-793-SHOW (7469). This show is presently (and has been for over 6 months) playing sold-out in Hollywood. Ms. Mills has a week off of TV's The Bold and Beautiful and she and Orson are kindly flying to Danville to present the show.

ALRIGHT THEN is the story of how two people, who by all odds should not have wound up together, have "made it". The play is told through humor, pathos and the occasional song ... and is an unforgettable night of theatre. Please join us for the true story and magical journey of these incredible artists. The show is written by Orson Bean and directed by Guillermo Cienfuegos.

Bean wrote ALRIGHT THEN as a companion piece to his 2016 hit, SAFE AT HOME, Winner of the LA Drama Critics "Best Solo Show of the Year" award. Alley Mills (The Wonder Years and CBS's The Bold and the Beautiful) joins her husband, veteran of film, stage and television, in their new two person show.

Orson Bean was nominated for a SAG award for his performance in the film BEING John Malkovich. As an actor and singer, he starred on Broadway for twenty years, winning a Theater World Award and a Tony nomination in the process. He sat on the panel of the game show To Tell the Truth for eight years. He appeared on The Tonight Show over 200 times. He was Loren Bray, the crusty storekeeper for seven years on the western drama, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman... and played Mrs. McCluskey's husband for the final three seasons of Desperate Housewives. He played a Holocaust survivor opposite Denzel Washington in Equalizer 2. He beat Charlie Sheen with a cane on Two and a Half Men. It seems to have done Charlie no good.

Alley Mills, a magna-cum-laude graduate of the first class of women at Yale, earned an M.A. in drama at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Although probably best known for her six-year run playing Norma Arnold on television's celebrated series THE WONDER YEARS, she has starred in a dozen other series and numerous TV feature films. On the big screen, she played the lead opposite John Candy in the movie GOING BERSERK. Her first professional appearance was in a Joe Papp New York Shakespeare Festival production. She then embarked on a national tour as Juliet in ROMEO AND JULIET. On the west coast she has worked at the Mark Taper Forum, the American Conservatory Theater, among others and is a 20-year member of the Pacific Resident Theater. Currently, she is a regular cast member of the soap opera THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, playing the bi-polar baddie Pamela Douglas. She lives in Venice, California with her beloved husband Orson Bean.
