Songwriter and illustrator Morgan Taylor's "The Gustafer Yellowgold Show," a unique blend of live music and moving images, will be performed at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, at the Alden in McLean. Tickets are $15, $10 for McLean district residents. The theatre is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.

Gustafer Yellowgold is a friendly creature who came to Earth from the sun and has made friends with some of Earth's odder creatures like a flightless Pterodactyl named Forrest, a pet eel named Slim (short for Slimothy) and a pet dragon named Asparagus. The animated illustrations are accompanied by Taylor's catchy and original story-songs creating a unique multimedia experience that is entertaining to children, teens and adults.

Since his creation by Taylor in 2005, "The Gustafer Yellowgold Show" has become an international phenomenon. According to Entertainment Weekly, the show has "The most infectious original songs. It's like tapping into some pleasure center in the brain-both adult and kid... absurdly appealing. Grade: A."

Tickets are on sale now! Tickets can be purchased in person at the Alden Theatre Box Office, or online at www.aldentheatre.org. For more information, call 703-790-0123, TTY: 711.
